Hairstyling plays an essential role in our beauty routines, but it also damages your hair. So do you stop it? Of course not!

You can find ways to keep your hair healthy, so you can enjoy bold and beautiful hair looks. When it comes to hairstyling, you want to go all in. And why not? If you have brilliant hairstyling tools that make your strands twirl like a goddess, it’s worth it.

Nobody is unaware that hair tools cause damage, but that shouldn’t stop you from creating beautiful curls to pair with a stunning bodycon dress. Styling hair is all about confidence. Your hair makes you feel amazing if you style it well, and the right tools can make it happen. Nobody would like to go to a wedding with frizzy hair; it would just destroy the beautiful dress they are wearing.

That’s why it’s better to use styling tools to create bold hair looks and take care of it. Like styling tools, some tools give your hair the nourishment it needs. On top of it, some products and masks replenish your hair to make it ready for another hairstyle that’ll make you feel confident and fabulous.

Hair Tools That Should Be in Your Vanity Kit

  • Hair Streamers

Anybody who’s ever tried a hair streamer will tell you to buy it. You can ask experts, and they’ll recommend it. It’s a magic machine for curly and wavy hair. When you use styling tools, they dry your hair out. Thus, taking steam from a streamer makes up for the lack of hydration. They soothe your scalp and allow oils to penetrate better.

There are no rules when it comes to using a steamer. Anybody can do it, but you can be a little cautious with timing. Don’t let your steaming sessions last longer than 30 minutes. If you want to use it for hydration, you can take steam before shampooing. If you’re someone with extra dry hair, you can leave your conditioner on and then take a steam. It’s a great way to seal in the moisture.

  • Micro-fiber towel

This is so easy, right? We use a towel every day but don’t think it can hamper the condition of our hair. Microfiber towels are what you need to keep your hair from drying out too much and controlling frizz. These towels are also great to do a lock-in oil nutrient.

Soak this towel in hot water and wrap it around oiled hair. This relaxes your scalp and opens up the pores to let the oil penetrate. This treatment keeps your hair silky smooth. Do this for 20 minutes, once every week. You must also do this after a night of intense hairstyling, as you need to look your best for the next occasion.

Taking Care of Your Hair

When it comes to hair care, oils are the champions. You can buy them or make your own. If you’re a DIY fan, remember that basic ingredients are always the same. You can mix essential oils with fragrant oils for a soothing effect. These are the same as fragrance oils for candle making, so you can use one in place of the other and curate a whole self-care oiling routine with candles.

Here are some DIY hair oils:

  • Onion and coconut oil

This one is great for hair fall and damage control. Onion promotes hair growth and makes hair stronger, while coconut oils nourish and hydrate.

  1. Cut a few onions and grind them to paste.
  2. Press them in a strainer so that they lose their juice. Then, collect the juice in a jar.
  3. Boil the onion juice with coconut oil on low flame.
  4. Add some vitamin E.

You can store this in a glass bottle. Remember that since it contains coconut oil, it will be solid in winters. You’ll have to melt it to use it.

  • Argon + coconut oil

Argon oil is best for hair growth. Mix it with coconut oil, and you get stronger and hydrated hair.

Mix argan oil with coconut oil and leave it. Crush some olives into the oil and boil them together. You may add vitamin E to this as well or leave it as it is. Olives have immense benefits for hair. Olive oil is used in various hair masks meant to replenish hair. But using fresh olives is what makes your oil slightly better than the drugstore ones.

Styling will never stop. Bold hairstyles are beautiful no matter what the occasion is, so it’s better to minimize the damage by taking care of your hair. Take time to build a hair care routine that you consistently follow. Keep days like Sunday to perform these routines, and you’ll never worry about hair damage again.
