If It’s A Right Angle, Then It’s A Wrong One! Applying Feng Shui To The Office Environment

If It’s A Right Angle, Then It’s A Wrong One! Applying Feng Shui To The Office Environment

When it comes to staying ahead of the curve in business, the office environment is essential. While it’s not as important as the marketing, the sales, or the bottom line, you still have to ensure you’ve got a working environment that your employees can thrive in. While Feng Shui may sound like a completely pointless approach to an office environment, there are some things we can use to take advantage of our working space. Here are a few…

Improving The Quality Of The Air

One of the fundamentals of Feng Shui is to be aware of the air in your space. Poor quality air will result in poor quality work. The best solution is that you can get it done for very cheap. There are plants that purify the air, and decorating your space with these will automatically turn any office environment into a more vibrant or colorful space that is thoroughly oxygenated.

Altering The Space For Happiness

Feng Shui isn’t just about angles; it’s about ensuring the space is vibrant and improves your energy. Decluttering your space is one simple approach that works wonders but you can also provide high-energy imagery. If you have the finances spare, there are numerous office interior design services that can alter the space so you have more color and space to work effectively. But even if you don’t have the funds, bringing something into the space that improves a worker’s personal energy can help too. This can be a picture of the child, a remnant of home, anything!

Keeping Your Workers Productive

But we’ve got to live in the real world as well; we have to ensure that our workers are as productive and happy as possible. While there are specific things we can do to improve attitudes and work ethics, like the Feng Shui command position, taking the opportunity to focus on our workers’ stresses, and remedying these through the environment they work in will yield significant results. Something like the environment behind a worker’s desk can improve energy, and even if you have an office with no windows, you can still make it a place that is happier by decorating the space with more color. After all, nobody likes to sit in a cubicle with harsh lighting, beige walls, and completely uninspiring decor. It crushes our spirit after a while.

And ultimately, even if you don’t believe in the power of Feng Shui, it is good practice to make your workers feel relaxed and focused. It’s not a benefit to the modern business to be a slave driver, and undermine our employees’ happiness. We need to prepare our workers for a productive day. And while there are many things we have that can create bad energy, such as having things at right angles, even if this is irrelevant, focusing on our employees and having a space that is vibrant can make us all work harder. Our employees’ happiness and healthiness is a priority, and why we can’t explicitly tell them what to do, we can at least nudge them in the right direction.
