If you are starting or have recently started your own business, then today’s post is for you. We want to share with you 3 connections that your startup business must make, as these will be key to your success.
Get to know your customers
This one actually begins before you start your business, as you need to get to know your potential customers and what they want in order to launch successfully.
It is key that you work hard to understand your customers’ needs. Before you move your business forward you should take the time to carry out some market research to ensure that your proposed services and products will hit the spot with customers. Along with your core business, it is worth testing your branding with the market so that you can be confident that it translates well to your customers.
From this point onwards, we would recommend that you maintain regular contact with your customers so that you can be confident that you are offering an excellent level of service to them. Take all feedback on board and use it to shape your business, thanking customers for their continued support and input.
Outsource and use the experts
When you run your own business it can be easy to feel like you are in it on your own. You think that you have to figure everything out and become an expert in web design, content marketing, business branding and cyber security all over night. Of course this is not achievable and actually, it is really not necessary.
There are thousands of people out there who are ready to help out, so you just need to identify those areas within your business where you feel you would benefit from outsourcing or using the experts. You might want to use experts such as Scott Robert to support all of your compliance needs or you could choose to use a social media manager to run all of your social media channels for you.
Whilst you might be doing all that you can to keep costs down when you start up, sometimes it can be more effective to get the job done professionally and take the burden from you.
Put yourself out there and network
You are going to need to tell everyone about your new business and the best way to start with this is to get out there and network.
Ideally you will work at networking in person, along with building relationships online. This will give you the best of both worlds, and do try to get a good balance of the two.
Many areas have local business networking meetups, so check to see if they hold them in your area, and if not, you could always start one up yourself. You can also take the time to introduce yourself to any neighbouring businesses and any relevant connections within your town.
You can then build relationships online. You can reach out through social media, get in touch on LinkedIn and directly email businesses where you feel you might be able to support one another.
All relationships are worth forging as you just never know where they might take you.
