This year Worcester city’s second Gin Festival will be held at the Guildhall, independently organised and supported by local Foregate Street businesses Bolero Bar & Kitchen, No 35 Wine Bar and Tonic Bar.

2018 saw the debut of the event completely sell out, and this year the festival will boast live entertainment, talks from gin distillers, over 100 gins on the bars as well as live music and DJ’s.

Worcester Gin Festival will be held at The Guildhall on Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 of May 2019, with an afternoon and evening session on each day running from 12:30pm to 5:30pm and between 6:30pm and 11:30pm.

As per last year there are two options for tickets, standard tickets are £15 and VIP upgrades £20 (plus booking fee). The standard ticket includes entry, a goody bag, a festival gin glass and a sampling card. The VIP pass adds priority entry, additional samples and an upgraded goody bag.

Richard Wheatley, General Manager at Bolero Bar & Kitchen said:

“Last year’s festival was a great success with an amazing atmosphere. We received extremely positive feedback from the attendees who said the festival was like no other the city had seen before. It attracted people from all over Worcestershire to the High Street venue.

This year we’re focused on ensuring we have a wide array of distillers and brands from the local area, we’ve already confirmed that Dr Eamers’ Emporium, Hubbards Gin, and Piston Gin will all be in attendance.

I think it’s very important to support local businesses and ensure that our high street thrives. This year the festival gives us an opportunity to show Worcester what their city and local area can produce.

The Guildhall is an ideal venue for the festival, due to its central location, incredible 18th century architecture and ideal transport links and we have built a great working relationship with their knowledgeable and supportive staff.”

The festival has no association with the national gin festival company that went into administration in 2018 whilst promoting an event at Worcester Race Course.

Worcester Gin Festival will continue to announce distillers and brands attending the event via their Facebook page on www.facebook.com/worcginfest.
