How To Market Your Copywriting Business

When it comes to marketing your copywriting business – or indeed any business online, it’s certainly sometimes an overwhelming and scary feeling because, not only may the concept be completely new to you, but there are a lot of people online these days telling everyone that their marketing strategies and tips are the only ones you should be using and that if you don’t your business will fail.

Then you have someone else coming along and telling you the complete opposite and saying that, in fact, their marketing strategy is the only one you need. So, how do you know who to listen to?

The truth is, if you ever hear anyone telling you that their strategy is the only one you need – and even worse if you hear them telling you that you’ll fail if you don’t listen to them, then you should run as far from this person as you possibly can, because, not only are they entirely wrong, but they’re likely trying to manipulate you and scare you into listening them for their own selfish gain, and really couldn’t care less about your business or you as a person at all.

Instead, you need to learn to remember that marketing is as old as business itself, and although there are some things that work better than others, business and marketing is all about testing different things out to see what works for you. Since your business is different from someone else’s, there’s really no one size fits all, and there’s certainly nothing that will cause your business to fail if you don’t use it in terms of marketing strategies.

So, in this post, we’re going to share with you some simple tips on how you can get started with marketing your copywriting business. These are tried and tested strategies that have been around for a long time, but it’s important to remember that not all will work for you, so you should use the ones you feel comfortable with.


If you’re trying to bring in more clients to your copywriting business, then a great way to do this by positioning yourself as an expert in your industry is through blogging. You can use a free blogging platform like Tumblr or Medium, or you can blog on your own website where you can share your knowledge. For example, if you want to land clients in the medical industry, then you could write on topics covering things nitrogen compressor equipment to show your skills in this area.

Email Marketing

Email is still a great way to connect with new and existing customers and readers and allows you to build relationships with them in an even deeper way than just having them read your blog. It’s also a great way to make sales on things like services and even digital products like ebooks or workshops.


Although many people will tell you that networking is dead, it’s really quite far from it, so don’t be afraid to get out there because you really never know who you’re going to meet at a networking event.
