Here’s How You Market your Business When You’re Not a Millionaire

If you look up marketing techniques, you’ll soon see that nearly all of them require you to have a great deal of money. For example, with SEO, you need to pay out for content, a site, backlinks, graphic designers, experts and more. This can quickly get out of hand and you may even feel as though your business is doomed to spend the rest of the year on page 10 of the search results. This is not the case at all, and there are plenty of ways that you can market your business when you’re not flush with cash.

Giveaways are great ways for you to get a lot of market attention. People love prizes and you can even team up with other businesses and brands to try and generate a lot of buzz for your brand. To do this, find something that you can giveaway and then ask your customers to share your page on social media or online to enter the competition. You’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to get involved with this and you could be reaching out to thousands of people with every online share that you get.

Be Community Driven

Most successful sites have some kind of user-generated posts. If you are able to do this then you can boost your business without doing a thing. You could ask your customers to try and plan a new advertisement for you with a prize for the winner, or you could set up a fundraising page for an aspect of your business. For example, if you are able to generate a set amount of revenue for your coffee shop in the space of one month, everyone who attended during that month gets a free cup of coffee. Things like this can really help you to get to where you need to be.

Referrals are Your Friend

It’s super important that you are able to encourage your friends or customers to refer your business. That’s how Uber and even AirBNB grew to be so big and it is more than possible for you to do this as well. Try and give the person who does the referral a discount or you can even give them a free product. The money that you make back from this will be more than enough for you to fund your business. If you are unable to get any products in the first place because you don’t have the money then consider looking into things like to see if they can give you the financial support you need.

Marketing doesn’t have to be hard and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune either. It’s actually easier than ever for you to market for free and social media really does give you the chance to do this. You can create posts for free, have your customers share them and this is a fantastic way for you to really get some buzz. You can even host competitions or rewards if you reach a certain amount of followers as well, so do keep that in mind.
